  You know, long time ago, the law is not so stringent on this and is only enforced on the 14 and below. However, they found out that more and more teens at age 15-16 are actually going for abortions and more and more teens are getting STDs. Many rape cases are also brought up and many of the rapists give excuses that the girl gives consent when the girl actually did not and they get away with it. Hence, the law is raised to 16 years old whether consent or not also violates the law... The End.
