eric, i agree with you that age of consent is arbitrarily drawn, and i agree with you that most of these people only consider it bad becoz the law says so. i don't even think that ALL people below a certain age are going to regret their sexual decisions. but perhaps let's just say, it's the lesser evil?
people at any age can make decisions for themselves, but not all people at all ages have the ability to fend for themselves. among the thousands who agree becoz they take charge of their lives, how are you to save the few who agree becoz they are being forced to, who didn't even think they had a choice simply becoz they don't know their rights?
that's how the law works. it's an abstract rules made by a few people on behalf of everyone else to apply in all cases. otherwise it cannot be implemented. instead of trying to sort out which agreements are okay and which are not (which we've all learnt can be really messy as we've seen in all those commotions lately in the forum), i guess it's always easier to just draw a line at a certain age. may not be the answer to everything, but it's an answer. -

i dont remember anything about handjob so i assume its technically legal. Blowjob isnt, however. hahaha! not even if the girl in question is above 16. A recent case which set a precedent defined blowjob as not illegal when it is followed up by actual sex intercourse. It, however, is clearly stated in the law that blowjob is illegal. ( yes that means that u gays cant have sex. its illegal ). of cause that law is hard to enforce, but u could get jailed for it if caught. A police sergeant got blowed by an underage girl and got caught in the act. He got jailed for the blowjob. His lawyer tried to get him off the hook by claiming that they intended to follow up with sexual intercourse, but the judge threw the case out. ( so you paedophiles out that cant use that excuse) He's still in jail i think, his sentence hasnt run out yet. -
