fair enuff.. there are many problems in life... universal... earth .... politics... society... religious problems... communites... technology problem.... pollution.... and family down finally down to individual problem like personal health...Originally posted by Bontakun:Do you know our solar system is also rotating? We may be able to see some black holes here and there, but we should fear those black holes we CANNOT see all the more. Invisible black holes as scientists claimed it.
Do you know there is a slim chance that the sun may die faster than its supposed to? As in supernova and then it may expand and engulf earth along with many other planets? Or perhaps even becoming a black hole itself.
Woah woah! Hold your horses before your thoughts go any further.
Let us focus back on our tiny planet we call home. How much are we contributing to global warming? What drastic changes will there be in the weather in the next 10 or more years? What other natural resources will be depleted (besides oil) in the next 50 or so years? What about our ever expanding population growth? How can we cope with world hunger issues?
We can do our part in making it a better place for future generations BUT not all will think beyond our planetary climate and what we are causing. There are those who prefer to see what is in front of us, like study, work, dates, $$$, luxury and other human-related stuffs.
Some are ignorant of such cases. Some are too scared to think of such magnitude. So for those who think of the universe and such, well... Let us keep thinking and imagining further, shall we?![]()

u studied astronomy in ntu ? i think black hole do move.. i rem e movie showing tat it move.. but in order for us to be suck in e black hole we gotta come super close to it.Originally posted by mystee:hmm... i studied a module on astronomy & milky way galaxy... but dont really go deep into it... cos no time to concentrate on that module.. but does black holes travel? i dont think so rite?
Even though black holes cannot be seen directly since they do not emit light, we are able to prove their presence using astronomical observation, particularly from studying X-ray emission from X-ray binaries and active galactic nuclei.
Most of the black holes are suspected that they were produced in the deaths of massive stars, and so it is expected that those black holes to weigh about as much as a massive star.
basically the universe is about physics... so the expertise in that areas will have their way to predict the negatives & postives..
no wori.. not laughing at u.. i m too curious abt the universe.. but too much of scare will affect ur health as what one of the forumite said abt the bacterias in your body.. cos our mind will actually affect our body condition.. like cancer cells spreading etc..
yeah... but i only went to the lec for 3 times i think.. so i din watch the movie... so u also did that module? hmm.. wondering if we are same batch..Originally posted by jakku:u studied astronomy in ntu ? i think black hole do move.. i rem e movie showing tat it move.. but in order for us to be suck in e black hole we gotta come super close to it.
yeah .. was doing e module tis sem.. juz finish e examOriginally posted by mystee:yeah... but i only went to the lec for 3 times i think.. so i din watch the movie... so u also did that module? hmm.. wondering if we are same batch..![]()
precisely... but its not easy.. one do not become not afraid of failure over exams, promotion, family events like giving birth, sickness just because he realize how big the universe is..Originally posted by untitledwav:you've just caught a glance of the enormity of life~ (*o*)
but there's no reason for us to be afraid of it.
if we understand that we're just a part of a greater universe, understand how small we are, and how small are the problems that we face compared to all of life... we'll open our eyes and learn to cherish the little bits of wonders we see everyday.
There is a black hole spoted near our center of milky way, It's gravitational force is of many times the Sun's.Originally posted by january:i amazed and scared also with life, planets and the fact that as we are doing things in life like studying, working and playing while
at the same time, we are on a planet earth which is also circling the sun, floating in space, exerting gravity on us so that we live the way we live.
the universe is teeming with activities like explosion, asteriod blackholes that is real and happening.
we humans are only however able to see what is infront of us, which is our hobbies and work and study and dun usually think in terms of bigger realities which is happening at the same time we are doing our homework and work stuff.
they are inconnected actually, go to read up more and you will see how planetary activities do affect our life.
cos i am very imaginative, i often visualize these planetary things moving here and there while at the same time observing that i am walking or watching television. such imagination brings awe and fear.
its mainly fear because it makes me realize and imagine things like what if something happen bad in universe causing the earth to die. haiz....
its scares sometimes for being so imaginative and so understadning of reality.
oh... mine was a year ago.. so we are not from the same batch...Originally posted by jakku:yeah .. was doing e module tis sem.. juz finish e exam

Right, a couple of billion years is "when" so you better start worrying...Originally posted by Darkness_hacker99:There is a black hole spoted near our center of milky way, It's gravitational force is of many times the Sun's.
That day which you feared for will happened. It not about will it happen, but when will it happened.
With no solution to massive power to propel ships to FLT (Faster than light), how to get warp drive?Originally posted by teraexa:Worry so much for what? I am even doubtful that our current way of life is going to last more than 200 years.
In 10,000 years, will there still humans around?
Oh you can pray for warp drive soon.
Well, you may never know. 50 years ago the PC was just a pipe dream eh. 100 years ago we could not have seen the internet.Originally posted by Bontakun:With no solution to massive power to propel ships to FLT (Faster than light), how to get warp drive?
hmmm... maybe only in a few years time the massive source of ebergy can be found...Originally posted by teraexa:Well, you may never know. 50 years ago the PC was just a pipe dream eh. 100 years ago we could not have seen the internet.
Who knows. We manage to teleport a photon. Maybe in the next 50 years we will find some massive source of energy.
I just hope that the day comes asap, before we screwed the earth inside out.
