House/Room Rental fee + looking for job

Need a small room to stay while I continue my studies.
Any idea what's the average pricing?
Need to get a place ASAP, the most 1 mth (Best near Jurong East/Clementi/CommonWealth Area).
Job wise needa be evening or I control my own time as I hafta study.
Or are there such places where there is a lot of students trying to support themselves and live together?
Gona sell my stuffs too to deal with the downpayment of Rental stuff.
Any good people that you guys know of to rent? I dunwan my stuff kena throw out or stolen when im out =/
And for that job searching thing, Now I hold a O lvl cert & now in my 2nd yr ITE and I'm sure Im gona get into Poly. Are there hostels in ITE/Poly? Some family issue hapened so I hafta go through these stuffs. People pls help in providing me infos, Big thanks to everyone in advance. -

If you arre not technically adult, might not be able to rent a room. Ur parents might haul you back also. -
I rent my room at woodlands but must pay me 2 months worth of rent. 1 month rent. 1 month security deposit. Will be paid back after ur stay is over.

I will be moving to Singapore later this year...My friend told me that the cost of living there is really high...Any idea how much it would cost to rent an apartment? Or is it advisable to get friends or anyone to share the apartment?

Parents wun ask me back also, Mother dead, Father say he 14 yrs old come out support himself already, I 18 years old duno do what shyt.
Now staying at relative house who is kinda sort of against me. I think its fine for me to get out and support myself. I know it will be tough but I will get use to it eventually, so many people out there can do it, who has a worse life than me, so why can't I do it.
I'm willing to stop gaming and other luxurious stuff until my income stable.

Room is enough I guess..but whole apartment (1 room/2 room) is better without worrying the owner steal/throw out my stuff lol... But hafta see the price as I haven got myself a job yet, will 'upgrade' when Im better lol.

Neways, avg rental for a single room 280-300 without aircon. Most of the time no cooking allowed ah, u see how lor can discuss with the owner.
Normally is pay 2 month rental at 1st, 1 as security deposit another for 1st month rental.

i suggest you find work first. Scully you find room already later cannot find work then chiat lat.
Then how to pay rent?
So, now is important is to find work, then continue stay at aunt place. But because of work, you wont see them for long wat, like at night come back to sleep, then morning you go out already, so less friction.
I suggest after you found work, and have at least 2-3 months of salary in your account then confirm to move out also not late.

500 a month not enough for rent+ food+ transportation leh.
Anyways, you ask here is a bit hard, i suggest u read the papers. it's under Classified there straits times.
But tell u hor, most of them agent lai de, so i think u find thru agent the fastest.
Now also the house owners usually approach agent to help them recommend tenants.
Agent fee is half that of your 1 month rental ah, that's standard commission. They will always psycho u say how good the room is and location blah blah.
U must check out surrounding see got constructions anot if got maybe too noisy for u to study, then check cleanliness of the house and all.
Also, the agent will give u card then u check the authenticity of their company dun kanna scam.
U think 1st lor whether u want ask agent or not. Btw asking agent to see the house is no need pay de, u not satisfied dun be shy to say no.
With help of real agent, ev thing is documentalised, means your receipt and contract agreement terms and all is listed down in black and white. Anything wrong can take action no worries. -
single room sometimes harder to find, and somemore u first timer...
If can, get your friends who wanna move out one, or share with malaysian students...
Or check wif u friends who rent the whole apartment one, ask if can 'squat' in since the owner dun stay with them. -
