Judging by the posts, I guess Singapore is the only country where pickup lines actually do work. Every other country I've been to they're only used as a joke.

Apparently I think although cultures are different but basic instincts in a girl is not much of a difference. I think even guys like to hear nice and sweet things about him too.... If a girl tells you something nice and wants to befriend you... I'm sure you will feel good about it too wont you?
I have been to NZ, HK, TW, Indon etc and I think they are pretty the same

Okie I do not want this to turn into a debate thread which is not the main intention. So this is my last reply to this issue k. Sometimes its not a matter of perspective, its a matter of common sense. There are exceptions, but there are certain things which you just dont leave to exceptions.
but If this guy could be more sincere and use a little of his creativity and come up with something nice. It will definitely be a plus point.
The same speaks for a guy who could use a little imagination, it doesnt mean he is a jerk or a player. I'm sure you have met ppl who are really nice and have said something that made you happy before. It doesnt mean they are out to woo you or play you.
However, I know there are people who just like the way they are and pleased to stay that way..... Its fine with me and everyone around. Its his or hers on discretion, no body can stop him or her. -
