And so you think the Bible just came by fax from Heaven? I'm a Christian, and I don't believe that everything in it was written by God. The Bible is Man's interpretation and recording of God's word. Read again, MAN WROTE THE BIBLE. As such, it's not immune to the effects of little alterations and mistranslations. There's always a need for some skepticism when it comes to interpreting the works of Man.

The War on Terror was sparked off by the terrorists who attacked the U.S., and I don't remember them being Christians.

oftentime, people forget what it really means to be a christian. the word 'christian' simply becomes a title. a title to generalize people SAID to have the same faith.
I dont believe that those wars were started because of a person's love for christ. if you read the bible, you'll realize that Jesus never thought badly of someone for their past wrongs. He associated with prostitutes and moneydealers and all those other people that society believed to be 'dirty'.
though christians are meant to follow Jesus' example, we are still humans. And really, I dont believe that Hitler was really a Christian. He may have said he was. He may have understood and agreed with the Christian teachings. But there's only one way to Heaven, and that is through Jesus. If he did not have a relationship with Jesus Christ, I dont think that he should be considered to be a Christian.. -

Taoist followers managed an uprising that almost overthrow the Han Dynasty; Buddist monks managed to evaded taxes with their large plantations and caused financial crisis in Tang Dyansty. Those Christian? They were amateurs. -

Well, there are always many ways to interpret the Bible, but there are some parts that don't agree very nicely, particularly that one where Jesus taught his followers to "turn the other cheek" instead of what was written in the Old Testament of "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth".

maybe, due to customs/ culture, there are characteristics which make certain group seem smarter....but....what is the significance of this....? coz when u meet someone, u have no idea whether he is smart or not......so individually and practically....stereotypes has no usage....

Hey I have a question for christians, erm.. just something out of curiousity, and not to start any flame war.
The Bible is amended over time right? Who are those who write the new amendments? The Pope? That means if that someone got a "revelation from God" , he/she will add it to the book?
According to what I know, 2 Timothy 3:16 states that “All scripture is inspired by God….” and 2 Peter 1:20-21, Peter reminds the reader to “know this first of all, that no prophecy of scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, … but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.” Is that supposed to be interpreted that God itself is the author of this book?
How true and accurate can men be in their interpretation of their revelation from God? Joan of Ark, some historians are still thinking if the revelation was true at all.
I've read many articles that says the revelation often comes in dreams, is that true? If that is true, how do we know if that is actually a revelation from God and not some normal dream? -
