didnt u read?, the puzzles have no meaning how can he make his way out?Originally posted by matleep:What then is your definition of a scholar? Someone as shown in the story? Then scholars must be lousy people.
What scholars should not do is to reject another person idea base on his education background. He gathers all the ideas and makes a judgement on which is the best idea to get them out. He is able to tell you the pros and cons of the various ideas and give a clear explantation on why he decides on a particular idea over another. Therefore, in this particular case, I feel that a scholar would follow the mouse first because, if he didn't, the mouse would run off. Even if the mouse is unable to lead them out of the maze, he could still go back to the puzzle to figure a way out.
Conclusion, the story sucks.
you are so dumb.Originally posted by hjtomjoe:didnt u read?, the puzzles have no meaning how can he make his way out?
I hate to repeat myself, pls go and read the story many many times b4 u all post!
I dont know about that but you seem to have a void mind.Originally posted by hjtomjoe:have u heard of yogis or wise men living in mountains who have a sense of deep perception...
becos their inner mind is void. It is not clogged with thoughts and numerous information of the outside world.
So they were able to fill their void mind with deep inner thoughts
x2....The academics have their uses and so does the natives african....Originally posted by mochou:why bother to make such a long story to show that "academics will not help u" under certain situation?
Imagine a highly educated man and a native african, throw them in the forest and see who survives better. That will prove your point already.
Or you are trying to prove something else?
I second that. very dumb indeed.Originally posted by the.owl:you are so dumb.
Not a spoil sport, just the inevitable conclusion of an educated mind.Originally posted by Bear:ermz.. sorry, i don't mean to challenge, but the whole story from start to end is almost meant to show a message. whoever and whatever message it is, a story can be cooked up to support it. How real is this?
a friend who tried to sell me something (not insurance), told me that you never when you need it. She told me to imagine in a desert, and you're thirsty. you came across a first man, and you asked for water and offered money, but he only has ties, and offers you to buy one. you move on, feeling even more dehydrated, you came to the second man. you asked for water and offered more money. He still only has ties, and ask you to buy one. You move on, coming to yet a third man, and you asked for water and offered all your money. But he again only have ties.. you're moved only and almost dying, but managed to come a very luxury place, and you can hear people splashing into a pool behind the walls. At the door, the bouncer said only people with ties can go in.
The actual moral of the story, i don't want to say, because like i said, these stories already have an agenda. the conclusion is already drawn before the story is made, and therefore it only has entertainment value.
sorry for being a spoil sport
TS posted the uneducated man version mah...Originally posted by LifeIsWonderful:i think this story is totally flawed. What about the other story that the educated man came out of the mazes first, and the uneducated man who died in the maze coz he cannot get out because he cannot read the sign which says, "to get out of the maze, say the magic word 'abczzz' in front of the door", but since the uneducated man couldn't even read english, he died in the maze. the educated man wins.
U R ALL TOKING NONSENSE. I already told u b4, the signs and symbols have no meaningOriginally posted by LifeIsWonderful:i think this story is totally flawed. if it had trhe uneducated man can still get out if there is a mouse, if there is no mouse he will die yes of cos, but why conduct the experiment in such a way when u already know the result. That was not the intention of the maze inventor.
