  Cos I'm not sure... in fact, I doubt I can convince any of my friends to make that trip. They're not exactly into things like that... family maybe, but that'll mean I have to endure my aunts' incessant nagging >_<
  
  So if there're organized groups, I could book myself for one and then go alone and..... meet new people!

  AMS (A not P ) or altitude sickness can affect anyone, fit or not.
  the best way is to build up on your cardiovascular fitness, and take it easy. If you're hit, the only cure will be to descend, then slowly make your way up again.
