When ur hand is wet and u touches the switch, u are in a lower resistance than the circuit, hence u short circuited the circuit, causing u to be electrocuted.
In the example case, the water film short circuited his body.....
The physics is not violated here....u are giving a wrong example to this case...
Owl is right....in real life the man would have been killed....
But this is a pretty long ago question that try to use similar concept as wet, drenched tree being unharm when struck by lightning, hence not really going to happen in reality.
However, this is the most sensible and scientific answer..
Yes the person may get burn in real life case even if he escape death.
A man in US once escape death the same way, he is wet thru out due to rain but alive because of the water film....but he also suffer burns over his skins....
Again, this question is a little ad-hoc and not lightly to happen in real life... but the answer makes perfect sense to the case
