For SAF personnels... You would know that you are instructed to run down the animal than to jam brakes when you are having exercise in other countries especially australia. -

Wad if one of yr family members was killed on e roads (no offense) ,if a motorist avoided e animal and skidded into another vehicle i wonder if u would still think e same way -

One time I saw a cat run over by a car. The dying moments of the cat was horrific to watch. The cat sort of catapulted a few times high into the air from the spasms before it died.
You don't want to witness this. -

In anywhere in the world, if you hit a human, you commit a crime.
But if you cause an accident by avoiding a cat or dog on the road which include infliciting injuries or damage to the public properties, you still commit a crime. -

Actually, we do not know the road condition. Whether the driver notice there was a kitten on the road nor notice that the car actually run over something as usually small animals and birds would run or fly away for safety as the vehicle approach.
Anyway, do you seriously think that the driver actually hit it deliberately? Think about it.... he will need to wash his vehicle or possibly cause a dent on his vehicle even though none is able to hold him responsible for running over a kitten on the road.
A life inferior to that driver might not mean anything to him but the damage might be.
And also. TS did not actually stated the situation clearly. I do not understand why some of you just put the death penalty on the driver. -
