1. smile n offer ur seat cos dey nid it more than u
2. smile n offer ur seat 2 impress the chio bu sitting opp
3. smile n offer ur seat cos the elder/pregnant lady standing rite in front of u n u feel like u oredi kana arrow by all the other passengers
4. smile but dun offer ur seat
5. sleep cos sitting for so long is damn shag
6. suddenly become beri interested in ur book as tho its a porn mag
7. pray to buddha, allah n christ to "sacrifice" sum1 else's seat instead of urs
8. suddenly haf selective amnesia n forgot abt the elderly/pregnant lady standing dere
9. ignore the elderly/pregnant lady cos ur skin is made up of 100mm reinforced titanium n u happen 2 b a robot
10. c thru the elderly/pregnant lady as tho dey r invisible cos u gt x-ray eyes n u oso happen 2 b a robot
11. keep coughing like u gt AIDS, cancer, bird flu, dengae (insert ur own here) all roll into 1
12. keep tokking 2 ur fren beside u like he/she is ur bestest best fren in the whole wide world n u suddenly gt like a million things 2 tok abt
13. ask the guy sitting beside u 2 offer his seat -

I will offer if they needs it and the MRT is very packed.
The thing I worry is, when you stand up, someone go kope the seat before the pregnant lady sat down. -

A couple of years back I took our family car for service (we owned one vehicle only that time) so gotta take the MRT. Then this family of eight - 3 adults and 5 kids age around 9 - 11 rushed into the compartment of the rather empty arriving train. Guess what the kids do? Two of them lay horizontal on the seats taking up most of the seats while waiting for the rest of their family to board so they can get the seats
Typical kiasu syndrome. Not only that the mother of one of the kids proudly and openly praised her son for such behavior, 'Wah, so clever boy! Chop place for us' 
After that incident I reminded myself to get another car for the family.
