Nowadays, it seems that Singapore guys are short compared to girls. In fact nowadays girls are quite tall.... -

My 12 year old son is now 1.62m. He will be at least 1.85m. Well, hopefully..
But I remember reading somewhere, that tall guys must mate with short women to reproduce taller offsprings..
This is the case with me and my husband. My the other younger son should be tall too.

The Brits and Americans were never that tall as depicted by Hollywood. Their Male average barely scratches 5'10" (178cm).
The tall people in the world are the Europeans. Serbia & Montenegro and the Dutch comes to mind.

SG girls got very tall ones and they tower over the heads of average guys. I see a number of them on the train. Then again, I also meet very short and petite ones. -

My mum short, my Dad is tall, how come i so short leh? I only 1.61

Dominant gene/Recessive gene
S/T Father + S/T Mother
1st child S/S S/S S/T T/T any one of these
2nd child S/S S/S S/T T/T any one of these
and so on...
So since there are more probability of S/S genes, the chances are shorter children. Actually 3 short is to 1 tall. But the S/T and T/T children can reproduce tall offsprings but the S/S offsprings have limited chances of reproducing tall offsprings unless she can find a mate with S/T, T/S, T/T genes.

i'm taller than both parents....i think may be due to our generation's diet too.....maybe?
