have you took the 2 bus driver's bus in the 2 incidents and tell them that you have complained them to their company and be ready to be most likely fired?Originally posted by eagle:Most Singapore Bus Captains just have lousy attitude towards passengers.
You should see those in Europe.
Simply put, SBS's service quality and attitude of the bus drivers towards passengers are just plain lousy.
I've had a few unhappy incidents with bus drivers in Singapore, and in 2 of the incidents, I lodged a complain to the company against the driver. I'm not sure however if they took the action which they replied me with.

Encourage bus captains to exercise discretion.I thought I've seen bus captains scanning their cards on the EZ-link scanners? Are those special cards?

I refer to the letter, "Isn't school uniform a form of identity?"
If the Government is encouraging us to think out of the box, why wasn't the bus captain flexible with the rules?
Is it because adults would collude with friends to wear school uniforms just to save a few cents?
If I'm not wrong, all SBS Transit drivers ride for free.
They too, need to carry a pass to show their identity to their peers. Fortunately, their peers allow them to ride for free if they are in uniform.
Does that mean that I can borrow my uncle's uniform and ride for free? Rational human beings do not do things like that. For a couple of hundred dollars, maybe, but not for a few cents.
By virtue of the fact that our bus drivers are now called bus captains, it would be appropriate that they exercise rationality and logic while implementing the company's rules.
I think if she was riding the bus alone without her friends, she may have accepted the adult fare.
But with overwhelming evidence that she was a student, I feel that she should not penalised.
I sincerely hope that SBS Transit will encourage their drivers to exercise more discretion while enforcing the company's rules. It will allow commuters to have a more pleasant ride.
