  like vietnamese, thai is one of the worst sounding langauge i hv ever heard. it is very nasal and very yucky n sticky, and a lot of low intensity grunting.

  Yes, it is nasal and a sticky language. Grunting occurs if you cant speak them well.

  I would say the best way to learn Thai is to hang out with the thai students over a beer or two. The more you speak it, the better you get. Don't worry about making mistakes, no one could understand me when I first got to bangkok!

  wah got thai forum i didn't know sia. thanks for telling ah. i got alot of thai frens leh, but all in bangkok. since i go there once every 2-3 mths, i figured i should learn how to speak proper thai.

  i think still better than phuket..around 150people (conservative estimate) goes missing every year.
