Hmm...in a sense, shopping is kinda different. The girls just go in there, try on clothes for a while, came out and can still talk with the guys. Plus don't you guys get thrilled watching your gfs all dressed up?
But if a guy is gaming, if the gf tries to talk to him during the game, he will feel distracted, and the game can go on for hours. So in the end, ended up no interaction at all.
It is not about the amount of time spent with your loved one, it is the quality. Even if you spend 6 hours with your bf in a gaming place, but no communication at all, is dat really quality time?
At least choose a game that both of you can play together, something that both of you can talk about while playing rather than just one person playing and the other person watching. If the girl does the same thing to you, wouldn't you feel bored? -

Sounds like an irresponsible gamer.. I'm a pretty hardcore girl gamer myself, but even I couldn't stand it if my bf just plays his FPS games for hours on end on a DATE. He'd give me the impression that he's very selfish, boring and lacks self-control.. I mean there's a time for everything. But gaming on a date? Why'd I wanna do that when we can enjoy each other in the flesh?

Actually both parties need to be more tactful and sensitive la, I have heard of many cases when gaming ruins a relationship if it is done compulsively... -

I cherish our time together more than to just spend it doing something that will cause us to not talk and feel bored for the entire day... -

I'm a hardcore gamer myself but if I spend time with my hubby, I dun game
He lets me have my WoW time and it works out and I don't expect him to sit beside me. He can watch TV or go drinking with his buddies or go fishing. -
