i suggest you write her a note, in the note you describe how you feel and maybe also cite the feelings of your classmates. try to write the note in a tone that is convincing such that you want to solve problems and not to create trouble for her. this will be the first step to communicate with her, even if she did not change immediately, at least she would have fully understood your perspectives. if this did not work, need to talk to principle liao.

Well instead of pin pointing on its the fault of those students who drive the teacher crazy,dictatorship and etc.Why not put it this way?The social and school have a part to play.
1.If the teacher did not show the student attitude why will the students treat the teachers badly?
2.Students are human too..and for alot of cases ."STUDENTS SHIELD TEACHERS" Though we may be destructive but when they are bully we will stand for him/her .
3.Students=rowdy how true is it?Well you dont have prove for that its only minority if students this days are rowdy dont you think the social and the school have a part to play?What cause them to?
4.As a chinese classic say "Its the fault of for a father to born a child and not teaching him/her,and its the teachers fault the teachers are not strict to inculcate moral values"
5.Teens are not rowdy but instead rebellious i am sure for those who have experienced should have know so its not that they are rowdy. -

2. If the teacher is bullied by the staff for being too nice to students, will u stand up for him/her? Furthermore, how would u know your teacher is being bullied when many things are "hidden" from you?

I wouldn't know about your teacher, but I would like to remind you to think in the shoes of others. Note that:
1. Teachers are humans, not robots; they get tired trying to help you improve.
2. Teachers do not only face students; they have to face their colleagues. Office politics is rampant in teaching. Sometimes, when two teachers walk together, some students will only greet ONE teacher because they dislike the other teacher. You wouldn't know what backstabbing will happen after that.
3. Teachers face the stress of having to face their superiors when their students don't do well. Or when they cannot keep a class quiet and in control.
4. I would think that a number younger teachers would like to quit, but it's not possible because they are bonded or have no other job to do. (There are of course some teachers who are happy because they feel that teaching is their calling) -

I know some schools actually implement a toilet pass system where only 2 students from the class can go to the toilet at any one time. This system is however not implemented at some other schools. -
The problem lies with the teacher's mindset, which might be influenced by their own colleague, Maybe is from the school they are from, and their parents might be the cause.
From a teacher's attitude, we can judge them like how they judge students, so, a bad teacher shows how their parents are, their former school, their mind, their friends.
My school have a teacher who always punish students for little thing like never bring book, and punish sec 1s, being in our class, we have class spirit, when we walk pass, we will say: dont be so serious
What to do best is to learn every good thing from them, and next time tell ur juniors to look out for this teachers -

Just remember to be more polite in your note, and write like what you have learnt in your gong1 han2 for complain letters (i.e. praise the school, list what a good teacher should do, and the "crimes" this teacher has commited). You will have a greater effect that way, and I'm sure the school will look into this matter to determine if it's true. -
I'll speak from my experience, as a teacher and a previous student.
As an ESL teacher (although it is applicable to any subject), my philosophy is to help those who want to help themselves. If you don't want to improve, you're welcome to leave my class. You don't need to waste your money and my effort. If you have the motivation to begin with, I can surely further motivate you and bring forth the passion to learn...however, I cannot create your passion if you have none to begin with.
It is important to capture the attention of the students within the first 5 mins of meeting them. But maintaining that relationship is most difficult and requires effort from both ends. I can only do so much to ensure that I answer your questions. However, it is up to you to ask the right questions. Also, we have to ensure there is a clear understanding of our respective goals.
There was response to write a note to the teacher to explain how you feel. I would suggest taking it one step further and actually speaking to the teacher one-on-one. Before you do this, you have to determine whether you have put forth the effort. If you have always had this bad attitude and negative perspective of the teacher, I would suggest you change your perspective of the teacher and the subject. After a few days, if you still find yourself in an unenjoyable situation, simply ask for a few minutes of the teacher's time. Sympathize and empathize with the teacher by trying to understand why they act that. Then you'll be able to project your own perspectives to the teacher.
To you I ask: what steps have you taken to show the teacher that you want to be in that class? What steps have your classmates taken? Are you all thinking alike or do you truly want to strive above your classmates? -

From a sec 3 student's POV, i understand that u are trying to bring the best, but, from what i had heard from my friends, sending a student out of class is bad because this is what they think in their mind:
Student: "i had paid the school fees and i have every right to stay here and do what ever i like"
Teacher: u onli paid abit, more over, i am more mature and teachers have the right to sent u out of class.
Thus, from the above extract, it somehow kind of cause conflict in between students and teachers
