I think the guy must be careful, 'cos if the sauce touches the holding end of the stick .. -
Maybe he is fedup of dipping the satay into the gravy bowl, because by dipping only the meat at the tip gets the gravy, after that he have to move the meat up the stick.

Why're u guys so worked up over this method of eating satay?
Apparently, those who posted have not been to Indonesia before ^^ that's the way they eat the satay.
The freshly bbq-ed satay is layered with the gravy for an even dip.
It's not unhygienic at all, since u dun dip and dip and dip again from the gravy as it's already covered in the gravy, just bite off and put the sticks by the side.
where as, SG's method of dipping have to keep dipping after u bite more troublesome.
However, either ways are legit, there's no such thing as the "Right way" it's just a case of preferrences -

That also means he can do what ever he wants with his satay.

For me, my personal experience was.....I used to drink Milo this way...first, scoop some Milo powder...put into mouth....then take water bottle....and drink....mix inside the mouth......
Like this....more efficient...

Well there is no rules you should dip the satay inside than you can eat.Why get so work up when he poured the gravy on all the satay and consume it?It makes no difference to the taste of satay what.I think his friends also very bo liaos....what for so agitated as if they will get fine when his friend eat the satay he wants.!
