If they are not willing to send it someone to clean the mess,those hostage are going to die in the end so why not bomb the entire area and let everything burn.
The next time these terrorist will think twice about using hostage as a bargaining chip. -
How many times in history has anyone bombed the place to kill both the hostages and the captors? Not alot. It's very unlikely.

Put it this way. The Talibans want a win-win situation. I believe they won't break their promise if their requests are met.

Being civilized people, there is no way the Afghan government will kill the Taliban prisoners in revenge for the hostages' death. -

Either way, the heartless ones are the Taliban. The Koreans are innocent.
The best way is to attempt some kinds of rescue attempts, but even that is going to be costly.
As the government, it is my interest to not give in.
As the victim, though, it is my heart cry to be rescued by somebody.

Why will the US or Afghan care? It is not their citizens that are being held hostage. Many of my US CHRISTIAN friend don't even know the Korean christians are held hostage, or don't seem to care.
Human are selfish. Which is a shame, really. -
I often had the heart to go to some poor countries like Cambodia or Vietname one day to do some relief works to bless the less fortunates, and therefore, I shudder to think that it could be me that was the hostage.
It could be me if some siao people in Cambodia or Vietnam suddenly decided to kidnap me, who didn't go there for anything but help them.
And I will be waiting everyday, hoping against hope for someone to come and help me, save me, but know to my dismay, that if I am my country's government leader, I will not give in to the terrorist threat.
Thinking how it can be me, or even my friend, or even my church friends, or even some of the NUS students who go to do relief work, or some of my social work more kind-hearted friend, makes me feel like praying and praying for the hostages to be freed.
Even if it is hopeless, even if I cannot bear to watch it, even if I am likely to be disappointed, by the harsh reality of life.

Read the hostages are held in different locations and some are in poor health.

The Afghan government already said they will not release any prisoners in return for the Koreans, as it is not their policym last time they exchanged one italian hostage for 5 taliban got alot of criticism.
But the Kidnappers only want the prisoners to be released as their top priority/
so most likely negotiations will go nowhere and the hostages are goner.
Newspapers are not willing to put that down in black and white.
But the hostages only got themselves to blame, thinking they can change things and make the world a better place. Better to join the US army -
