which university would you like to be in?

i want to do NUS/SMU/NTU economics/law/accountancy/banking and finance in uni....any idea what is the cut off point for the A levels for these courses?

Precisely, so it does not make very much difference which university you go to. Of course, don't go to one which sells certificates!
Most of the VERY successful people go to ordinary universities or don't. Singapore's HIGHEST PAID CEO has got no degree!
To seek employment, we have to proof ourselves first what..
In school and in university, you only 'prove' yourself by academic results. In real world, there is no conclusive evidence to show that good exam results mean good employment results.
For that matter, employment (working for other people) is the easiest thing to do in life! Even if you are the [b]CEO - Capable Employee Only.
The true test of one's CAPABILITY is to work for oneself - that's is write your own pay-cheque!!
since now we don't have those..all we can do is to seek higher education, but choose the right ones, don't study for money..study for knowledge..
Well as for writing a pay-cheque, it will onl comes in the event of being an entrepreneur and via some other methods...which i will not touch on..since it's out of topic already..
perhaps 1 good example of a highly paid employee is Jack Whelch (not sure if i spelled his name correctly or not) who is the aurthor of "Winning"
he worked his way up and climb the coporate ladder step by step..he is lucky to climb so far..
i think that you might want to go search donald trump on youtube and watch the videos of the interview with donald trump from 2-5...

What is the chance that a CEO is a non-uni grad? -
Any education (schooling) is better than nothing. If one is very keen to learn, one can study or acquire knowledge in any circumstances, anywhere. Going thru educational instituition is just a formal and systematic way of learning but nothing more!
A qualification is just a mere statement that you have met the minimum standards for the award of certificate, nothing more!
The aim of education, apart from imparting knowledge, is to teach you to THINK. If knowledge alone, might as well input that into computers! Also, the libraries have vast store of knowledge. In fact, one need NOT possess all the knowledge in the world, just press a button will do!
But does one knows how to THINK?
You may think this is nothing ..... but every happening you see around us is the result of THINKING! Not the paper qualification that one obtained. Not the best instituition one had gone thru.
Like the many forumers here, people always THINK if they get into the world's best school or uni, they are made for life!
So, the bottom-line is this question: What do you want to be? If you want to be a doctor, then go for med degree, and so on.
But if you want to get RICH, don't waste your time in university!!!!!

but than again, stating from what I learnt from Donald Trump from tv, sometimes, a Leader must also be a good follower..
there's a lot of meaning in that sentence..thus i guess it's best that you guys watch his show to know more to how to Apply the Knowledge and make it work for us to earn money instead of us working for the others..
Thinking is the key word..
But advice for all of you:
The choice you make determines if you succeed or failure, if you make the wrong choice, no matter how hardworking you are, you will be struck somewhere soon..
Make the right Choice People.

no matter what we do in life, there's always pressure and stress that comes together in a package.
local or overseas uni all have pressure..so it just boils down to how to reduce and lessen the pressure and learning to relax..
