Those who study a lot/very hard are losers?

That is the mentality of many students today.
Well,all I can say is when you screw up your exams and get a sh-itty job,you are a bigger loser. -

Depends. Personally, I am bias and don't really like them. But a few have impressed me.

i dun study much becos i kinda do active study(main points, wiki, look out for manythings), but if they study hard and screw their exams then viola!
i do screw up my exam also

hmm. i'm now trying to study very hard. but it has its drawback la. sometimes i wish i was smarter, read 1, 2 times can get it already, don't have to spend so much time studying. so i envy clever ppl sometimes.
also... it killed alot of my social life -
mi tink sg edu mus revise syllabus riao...ask urslef how mush of e ting u studie can be used in real life working? mugging is boring n seriously dun do it... learn 2 figure out the answers instead of plain memorise n bulldoze ur way in the exam

The world is not onli bout exams IMHO.
If u study but still haf a social life, well den ok.
I noe of ppl in uni who study 1/2 of the text book before the school term even start.
I haf seriously nothing to say about such extremes. -

well...i can said it depends on your mindset and your actual working ability....being studious will only teach you how to work for others, one thing that govt successfully done for whole lot of poulauce, entrepreneurship is being killed in the beginning, believeing that only indulging in rat race is the safest way to go....Originally posted by Marco_Simone:That is the mentality of many students today.

Alot of those (not saying all) who study a lot/very hard want to get a better job/prospects and if they get great results then all I can say is they deserve it. You reap what you sow. No point being biased against them or despise them. Its their life and how they choose to live it.
Whether they still have a social life or enjoy life or not is one thing. But especially in Singapore, its better to have money and no life than no money and no life.
Of course, this does not include those born with a silver spoon or those who study smart la -
