Its not a matter of smokers vs non-smokers.
Its the stupid idea of drawing lines, and declaring that this side can smoke, that side cannot.
The coffee shop should be either a smoking allowed one, or a smoke free one.
Let the operator decide.
The let the contending parties decide where they want to go.

while im anti smoking, i pitied smokers for their plight when they encounter no seats during meal times at peak hour and the seats are occupied by non-smokers.
but come to think of that, its the law that smokers who want to smoke must sit at designated seats, but non-smokers can seat anywhere isn't it?
non-smokers did nothing legally wrong.. maybe just a bit wrong morally. if they dont move after u asked, i dont think should make a fuss out of it. why not just quickly finish ur food and puff somewhere?? -
