Do you think the button at the traffic light really works?
Some people dont think so. Like kind of pointless. Press liao "green man" can appear faster meh? -
If you don't press the big metal button, the green man will not come on even when the traffic light has turned red.
And for some roads with less traffic, the traffic light won't turn red unless you press the button. -
those cross junctions dont work one. cos they mainly to control traffic. but those normal traffic lights, yes, it will be faster if u press since its only for ppl to cross.

at hdb areas the button is quite effective.
try it at orchard or cbd, and i may say its faster to jaywalk. -
the the big metal button found on traffic lights are there for a reason...

only need to press once same as lift button...pressing many times doesn't speed up things

the scramble crossing at orchard road only activates once every half-hour from 7.30pm to midnight.

no.. the faster u prsss on the button repeatedly the faster it turns green. like how i see lots of ppl do... presseing the button frantically like button mashing in an arcade.

At light controlled pedestrian crossing on straight road.
Some people press the button, then cross when there is no traffic, and before the green man appears.
By the time the green man comes, and stop traffic. No one is crossing. -
common la. blame the traffic light lor.

Try telling that to aunties and uncles on the street. They still want to press that big metal round button, even though it's been pressed by others. Dunno where did they get this idea of pressing it more and faster, green man will appear faster..
Same for lifts..this indian lady waiting for the lift beside me OBVIOUSLY saw me pressing the button already, but she still buey song, go up and keep pressing the blardy button until the lift finally reached the first floor..
Button spoil she pay izzit?

it will trigger the other other size of the light to turn orange then red, so ur light can go faster
