a few days ago, a china lady called and say dunno wad home survey, backgroud have alot of phone calling and modem dialling tones
i declined the survey, cos i remember there is a topic on this, anyone expirece this? -

I have a new idea. when they tell u that u need to wire money to them before they can wire the money out of their country, tell them the same hting. they will need to send you a cashier's order or something of 50% of the amount that they are asking u to wire out of singapore.. say sg government's new rule, dont believe can come and sit in for parliament on xx date - televised on mediacrap channel 6.. bill just passed.. illegal to wire money out of sg for amounts greater than $10 sing dollar without the person paying 50% insurance deposit first =D

Haha me got that call too last week.... wanna play around with them abit... but then she call me during my work hr... so cant play for long.... in the end just leave the phone there, din hang up since free incoming.....

1) The next person or ANY person who receives calls from numbers that may be/or not similar to the ones just mentioned, reject the call, contact your service provider (Singtel, Starhub or M1) immediately and ask the operator who is attending to you to trace the suspected scammer's number.
2) Report the case to the police immediately without fail by calling 999 IF it is confirmed that the number may be from a suspected scammer.
3) Whoever receives these calls ONE MORE TIME can also try to post the scammer's number here on the forums to alert everybody who reads this. -

when they call and tell u that they are from xxx company.. ask them for address.. then ask them which part of the building they work in.. then say oh you're right below their building.. i'll come up and talk to u in person about it la we can discuss the survey over a cup of tea.. -

Yeah,, I jus received that call too.. was a china woman, speaking chinese only, when i spoke a bit of english she din know wat is it.. she told me to do a handphone survey, i answered a few questions regarding the handphone i prefer and uses.. her questions are quite convincing like coz she asked did i buy the phone with contract, or do i prefer flip phone and wat subscriber company, wat model do i uses, did it cost alot of money, did i trade in.. very convincing questions.. after that she asked me for chinese name. i asked wat is it for? then she said it is only polite she addres me correctly then she said her chinese name. Then i said my surname i said it is enough for her to address me by that. She said she wants to know my full name becoz she needs proof the survey was done.. then i was like huh sianz........ i told her i din wanna talk to her and hanged up..

i gave them the name chen li ping then play them until today.. say the number i pick (anyhow one) won 50k USD.. i shouted wow very convincingly playing with them -

not sure where the person calling is from.. cos it says "unknown" .. if is private, the caller id display will show "withheld" .. :/ maybe overseas call or something?

I received a call from a mandarin speaking lady last week saying something I dont quite understand because my mandarin is very poor.
I know this type of phone scam has been ongoing for some time & have prepared myself just one sentence of mandarin to say that "I just came out from an old folks home".
So I just said in mandarin "wor kang kang chong lau ren yen chu lai" & she then said sorry (in mandarin) & then hung up.
Try the above measure next time you receive such calls. -

. She said "Huh?" I say "Aiya wo xian zai mei you kong" and i hang up the phone. If she ever call again i hear her voice i hang up liao. -
