I using the same cube as you.Originally posted by fstein:43 seconds my personal best. been cubing for about 1+ month now. i'm using a official rubiks cube, lubed with silicon spray.
anyone else use fridrich's method as well? i use it and memorised about 10 OLL and 4 PLL algorithms.
wo cai wo cao wo cai cai rubiks pro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6iQ98IIc9E[/url]
most are using fridrich F2L, then OLL (orientate last layer) and PLL (permutate last layer). F2L is intuitive, but there are algorithms if u wanna learn, then there are 57 OLLs and 21 PLLs to learn. keep practising and you can be as pro as those you see on youtube!Originally posted by Xephone_xenon:Have been starting to play the rubik's cube 1week ago.
And the best i can do now is 1:36.
I did that by using algorithms.
And i am sure with the algorithms i have now.
The best a human can go is probably like 1:20.
But wtf, i go to youtube i can see them do 3x3 in 12seconds?
How they do one?
With algorithms or?
I think there are more complicated algorithms then what I am using now.
Please PM me if you know.

i started around 3 weeks ago, so i still suck...
i'm on my way.. total about 10+ oll and 6 pll learnt xDOriginally posted by Deadly:most are using fridrich F2L, then OLL (orientate last layer) and PLL (permutate last layer). the internet. speedcubing has become hip recently!Originally posted by Hocklez:why a sudden revive of this cube? haha...
cool... shall pick up one from toy r us if can...Originally posted by Deadly:the internet. speedcubing has become hip recently![]()
just wondering where can i get the silicon sprayer & what brand u used, been looking for it for sometimes..Originally posted by fstein:43 seconds my personal best. been cubing for about 1+ month now. i'm using a official rubiks cube, lubed with silicon spray.

today i finished it in 3mins2sec...i think its the fastest but tbh i rarely time myself..
how fast can U do it?
wow interesting, didnt know there is this forum talking about rubik's too. my averages is 45sec but im been playing for a year+ already still no improvement. damn it... lolOriginally posted by fstein:43 seconds my personal best. been cubing for about 1+ month now. i'm using a official rubiks cube, lubed with silicon spray.

you can get from any diy store,, just make sure it not wd40 or wat ever that will eat your nails inside. ask the sale assistant that you just want silicone spray and if they hardworking enough they will know which one is it.Originally posted by Chionk arr:just wondering where can i get the silicon sprayer & what brand u used, been looking for it for sometimes..
i've been playing with the cubes for few mths
3x3 averaging 60sec
4x4 averaging 10mnt
5x5 averaging 21mnt
lol what is better hobby?Originally posted by jondizzle foshizzle:people who practise solving the rubik's cube seriously need a better hobby.
wtf thats an awsum idea! u should organise that sometime.Originally posted by cvolts:lol what is better hobby?
im into triathalon, marathlon too
maybe it will be fun to hold a rubik's cube to complete 42k this yr lol
but i think it quite stupid so may give that idea up lol
Like what?Originally posted by jondizzle foshizzle:people who practise solving the rubik's cube seriously need a better hobby.
you currently using the vanilia layer by layer? ya i think so too, time will sure speed up if you change to f2l haaOriginally posted by Xephone_xenon:The fastest i can do now is 47seconds.
But i am still using the long method which takes about 80~90 moves for one solve.
Timing should improve once i manage to remember fridrich method.
wow?! where will i get to see girls playing,,, i never see anyone playing b4 till now. except a guy playing in a resturant while he was having his dinner.Originally posted by motoway:it's the new trend now adays eh? i go down a lot ah lian also doing..
Fwah.. should they be playing the para para instead???
