ARE U DAPHNE1986?!?!?Originally posted by xinyi18:when u juz started wearing it, it might be quite uncomfortable..
u will feel something stuck inside ur mouth etc
so..for the first few months eat soft food..porridge best..the ingredients muz be in very small bits like wat babies eat..
after u visit the dentist every once a month or once a week, depends on ur dentist, for the 1st wk, eat porridge..by tat time i think u will get used to the braces..so..after 1st wk u can try slightly harder food..
right after the dentist 'tightens' ur braces, u might juz feel a bit of pain, at this pt of time, DO NOT eat hard food bcos u might think its not as pain as u think. if u eat hard food, u will feel more pain then normal later. its very very pain.
u will nt feel the pain immediately, it will come slowly..
good luck![]()

Braces will really drool alot one, i wore for freaking 2 years! They plucked out 4of my teeth somemore leh..
Its just mainly.. after every month when they tighten, it will hurt for the 1st week after tighten, for me la. After the first week, can mostly eat anything, hard soft also can.
When just put on ur tighten, lol, dont worry, normal rice also cannot eat. Porridge would be best.
Good luck.

also depends on the teeth that you are gng to straighten.. whether u need to extract teeth to straighten it?
for my doc, whether i m doing upper teeth only, or doing full set, is the same price.
i said it depends.. best if u can go consultation. cos the doc wil need to c how he is gng to adjust your teeth, then from there.. he will give u a quoteOriginally posted by motoway:wah 1 tooth also 2k? haha den forget it. i'll just quit laughing so much.![]()

1) cuz when ur not eating, ur mouth detects some extra thing in ur teeth, causing saliva to be produced. Must wait awhile till ur mouth understands that braces is part of it, and then it will stop producing excessive saliva.Originally posted by Nikar2:thanks everyone, but i don't get it....
1) braces are juts "fenced" on the surface of the teeth.......what have they gotta do with drooling?
2) the teeth are still intact on the gums and the braces are just surrounding them, so why cannot eat hard food?
it's like adding a layer of plastic onto your teeth. in theory, it makes you teeth even stronger cos' there's support, so why no hard food?
thanks all, but i'm very confused.

1) i dont drool, but i suppose, with the braces attached to your teeth, is harder to close your mouth tighter.. thus it will lead to drool.Originally posted by Nikar2:thanks everyone, but i don't get it....
