Your views on bicycle on pedestrian tracks

  I think it is pretty dangerous especially and you are forced to leave the pavement to give way to them...
  
  On the road, they can be a hazard to cause the left side traffic to slow down, causing bus to change lanes slightly which may cause accidents.
  
  I wonder if LTA is waiting for people to get injured seriously or get killed then they implement policies. the current $20 fine is too little

  I don't mind if the cyclers know how to behave by saying 'excuse me' politely before speeding off with the bicycle. I can't stand those who just speed off without saying anything (what if we get hit?) or those who ring ring countless of times.

  Pay road tax for bicycle, need to obtain license plate for bicycle, need to go riding centre to qualify for Basic Riding Theory course, obstacles course, and pass the test to get a license..

  Being a cyclist is a headache it seems. Cycle on the pavement, u gotta navigate past pedestrians who are using the footpath & put up with the annoyed stares when u tell them "excuse me"... cycle on the road, u get cars driving dangerously close to you and the buses giving u a really loud honk. So cycle where siah? At the park downstairs u home or rent bicycles at parks?

  maybe if you cyclists actually obeyed traffic laws, drivers wouldn't be so impatient with you.
  
  for starters, you should be riding in a single file near the side of the road, not blocking up the entire left lane just so you can chat with your buddy.
  
  you should also be stopping for red lights, no matter if there is incoming traffic or not.
  
  cyclists also like to alternate between the role of pedestrian and vehicle. You're a vehicle, period. You do not get to make turns using the pedestrian crossings.
  
  also, for the love of god, drive in the direction of traffic. and use lights at night. Despite what your grandmothers tell you, driving against traffic at night is not the safer option.
  
  if you really want to be evil to cyclists who dash on pavements, disrupting pedestrian traffic, all you have to do is bump the cyclist lightly as he zooms past. =)

  It'll be good if we can have bicycle lanes like those in China... but those who use the roads will make noise...
  
  Besides, having bicycle lanes will encourage more people to ride a bicycle instead of a motorbike or driving...

  Don't generalise.
  
  For big groups occupying a lane is better, some drivers like to squeeze people on bikes to the extreme left.
  
  Small groups yes single file.
