Your views on bicycle on pedestrian tracks

  bicycle can go on bus lane
  so start those near mrt station
  set up bicycle rental station
  provide good 26 inch wheel mountain bicycle,
  rental or provide bicycle helmet,
  internet tracking of bicycle location.
  standard mountain bicycle model.
  if stolen also cannot re sell .

  i cycle on pavements (last time, now bike crank lose)
  i onli cycle fast when there is no one in sight, or i have enough time to brake and visibility and road is fine
  i cycle slow when approaching anyplacewhere ayone can suddenly walk out...i get knocked downby bike before, so i noe

  You wish. Around my area, there's those tall metallic blocks that only allows a human to pass through it. The rest walk on grass. It's damn troublesome, especially for a wheelchair person. Then complain the grass field goes botak. As if my dai ji. Go screw that MP which came up with this bloody idea and implemented it without thoughts.

  bicycle on pedestrian tracks? theres a reason why its called pedestrian tracks right?
  
  the govt should create tracks specially catering to bicycles. its much safer than cycling on the roads or sharing pathways with pedestrians.
  
  it may be costly in land-scarce singapore, but if you think long-term, it is definitely very beneficial.

  I cycle on the road ganna horned, but i still dont believe in cycling on the pedestrian track.
  it is too dangerous for the pedestrians, i seen ppl thinking that the pedestrian track is their personal racing track, going at full speed.

  I have been cycling on road for more than a year. As long as observe traffic rule, cycle at constant speed, keep to left, should be quite safe. Actually, it's even more dangerous to cycle on pedestrian tracks than on road, cause you never know when someone will pop out from somewhere, in any possible direction.
  
  Sometimes, I do notice some cyclists (usually foreigners or ah pek) cycling in opposite direction on the road.
