actually... things like sports, computer games competition and cultural exchanges are non religious stuff that promote unity, peace also becos they encourage people to compete without killing and using computers...

hidetox im afraid im having trouble reading some of your posts... and you are catholic? can i then ask you is there difference between catholic and christian because till recently, i always thought they were the same thing, christianity being the religion and protestant, anglicans, etc were all the different methods of interpreting it. -

Actually I didn't mean that a religion will spread violence. Heck, how can a religion spread violence anyway?
What happens is, I believe, the seeds of violence are contained in the religion. I think this is important, and can be quite subtle too.

Actually muslims consider islam as having been in existance even before Adam......since islam is about peace and submission......we consider every prophet to be a muslim coz they too bow down in submission to god..... -

I believe it's not the religon that teach people to kill. It's just someone who is abusing the name of the religon to kill for their own selfish ideas. May heaven punish those who kills.
