It's not a thing as if it can be located, it has no particular graspable form, but it can be intuitively experienced.Originally posted by Omniknight:clarity is a thing

First of all I would like to thank ~BWB~ for giving me this opportunity....
from eternal nowcould you please share with the masses what you experience and how you achieve such blissful state. How long is the experience of bliss and which part of your body feels good. tks for sharing.
'Highest transcendental nirvanic bliss' is not a flowery or poetic statement, but is exactly what you experience when you attain such realisations. Though, it is beyond all our imaginations of what that bliss is. Bliss has many categories... I have experiences of jhanic meditative bliss which is even more blissful than sex, but even that is incomparable to the highest bliss of nirvana.
I don't want to talk about it... but the jhanic bliss I experienced has a 'strong' physical side, like super intense waves of rapture spreading throughout the bodies. It is said that the bliss of higher jhanas will be more mental and subtler, at higher levels there is no 'coarser' kind of bliss.Originally posted by january:could you please share with the masses what you experience and how you achieve such blissful state. then when u go about doing your daily stuff like working or studying, do you remain in state of bliss or no feeling?Originally posted by An Eternal Now:I don't want to talk about it... but the jhanic bliss I experienced has a 'strong' physical side, like super intense waves of rapture spreading throughout the bodies. You can find more information on the net and even read some of their experiences, I think. Don't ask me how to achieve it, and in the first place I don't practise to attain jhanas... there are better resources out there.
No. Jhanic bliss may have positive effects into daily lives, but as far as I know, jhanic bliss cannot be sustained out of meditation. I had a forum friend (longchen) who said when he was young, around 16, he was able to attain incredible bliss.. thats when his interest in meditation began. And sometimes the bliss would last for a few days, but he would then seek to attain the bliss again and again. But he also eventually realised that the jhanas by itself aren't going to help much (in terms of insights).Originally posted by january:then when u go about doing your daily stuff like working or studying, do you remain in state of bliss or no feeling?
