If you read all the posts in this thread you will realise that those couple who surive well together becos they willing to help each other and to built a better future together. Marriage is a 2 party effort not one sided affair.
Is the same rule as friendship, will you be friends with someone who keep asking for favours but refuse to help out when you are in need?
Answer to TS question is very simple. How long can a one sided pampering last? 1 year to 9 years?
Lets do a case study to help people understand.
Guy A marries Gal B, he pampers and takes care of his wife very well. Gal B naturally wants more by the days go by.
Examples "HDB too small, I want bigger one "
"Gal B friend's big new car, Gal B wants a bigger one"
so on...
If Guy A is rich is ok for him to keep up with Gal B demands but what if Guy A is just a normal average singaporean living in a realistic world?
In order to pamper his wife even more, guy A have to work longer hours and spent less time with Gal B. Gal B conplains and ask why, but forgotten the hardship guy A had to put in to meet his wife growing demands.
Gal B thought since guy A can make it so she ask for more.
See the cycle?
What did poor guy A get in return ? nothing but more demands and wants coming in.

I do not believe such crap as I have seen so many guys get into debts becos they want to pamper their wifes well. Gals always used this type of excuses to get what they want and give nothing in return.

I think is whether yr partner will looks forward to life after marriage.
SOme guy take it like mission accomplish once they married. Thinking the next step of marriage is to be a father and earn plenty of money to feed the family of wife and children. He felt no time is left for further romance. It is responsible to think this way but wrong to think courtship is over.
Guy must correct their mindset and think it in a way after marriage, romance and spice up of love is s till a must. I accept frequency is lower but not ending it.
What is the point of family having material well off but soul and spirit lacking?
It's good sometimes to slow down in work life and devote sometime in communication with spouse. Time Management is crucial and is not easy but don't use that as an excuse! -

You pamper your wife and youre heading for trouble.You love your wife and pamper your dog.Women expect you to maintain what you give them from the start so if you slack they might think you are loving them less.Too much is called pampering and the dog would never complain even if you stopped giving completely but a wife would make it a living hell to remind you.
The trick is to be spontaneous and surprise her with love and affection that way she knows that your love is always present even on the days when there are no surprises. -
