  My friend had this rule: if it tastes bad, it's because its good for you.
  
  I can cook. My friends tell me its nice, but I always feel I can do better. For me, it's not much of a choice. On my own, so have to cook. Else I'll run out of money, then starve to death. Not fun when you think of it.
  
  Cooking is way more fun. Washing up isn't.

  cook before:
  maggi mee
  baked pasta
  fried rice
  Cheap sharkfin(tofu, all those mushrooom, crabmeat, fish cake)
  pineapple tarts
  chicken pie
  banana cake
  hamburger patty from meat
  
  actualy just need the skills and follow instruction

  Cooking is tedious as there are many things to do and skills to be learnt.
  
  For example, how to wash the vegetables and meat properly.
  How to properly cut the meat. Angle of cut .. cut where .. knife to use etc.
  How to remove intestines and unwanted things from poultry, fish, vegetables.
  How to control the fire .. important skill!
  How to recognize your food is cooked.
  Different ways of cooking .. steam .. fry .. barbecue ..
  How to mix and match food .. by looking at your fridge, what nice dishes can you think of?

  Oh yes .. a good cook is a good "marketing" man as well.
  
  He knows how to tell fresh fish from lor-kor fish.
  He can recognize most of the fishes at the market, which fishes have lots of bones (better not buy them if you have kids), the ways to cook them etc.
  
  He will know how to bargain as well.
