Go to very expensive hotel and order very cheap meal.. ex like fried mee, fried rice..bread..ham..
then whn ppl heard you go expensive hotel , they sure give you big angpau cuz paiseh they think you treat them good food ,, mana tau,,, hahahahaha

Community Centre is good, can hold 100 tables or more. Also it is not cheap actually depending on what kind of food, some can be on par with hotel with better food. Go hold at Clubhouse then... Hokkien Club or Grassroot Club etc..

Ordinary wedding at Chinese restaurant, I usually give $40-$60 ang pao, because I estimate 1 table is priced at $400+ to $500+. I see the number to tables there, they sure make one.
If the relationship is good, I give more. (Nephew wedding give $350
)
But small wedding at posh places, I don't give ang pao. I give presents. Which is actually cheaper. The wrapping is of course very nicely done.
But I don't know how the couple feel.
They sure rugi one. -

Please remember that this dinner is not just for you and your partner, but also parents from both side. please have them in mind when making decision or else, scrap the wedding dinner and just have private party with friends and a expensive honeymoon -

If your parents are rich, then you shouldnt be asking about CC vs Raffles but Raffles vs. fullerton vs Ritz etc.
Knowing many rich friends and relatives doesnt mean that they will definitely turn up for your wedding. -
if you want to hold your wedding at raffles hotel's ballroom, the most no. of table they can give you is 25 tables nia. and i don't rmb thr's any place tt is big enuff for you to have 50 tables.
