How to improve english vocabulary?

  read books or subtitles.
  i think subtitles help as it is a conversation between two or more.
  and oso we communicate widely, so must understand when and wad words to use appropriately lor.....

  read newspaper or story books
  if u donno the word CHECK the dictionary
  must sure u remember the word u learn.

  read the dictionary. Try to look at new words tat caught ur interests and remember the word. Tats wat i do 1 day before my english paper 1 compo.

  read extensively: newspapers, magazines, comic books, story books, game books, subtitles etc
  
  my sec sch english teacher made my class record down vocabulary words and phases on a exercise book. you can classify them by alphabetical order or how the words can be used. look through the book every now and then.

  write more and make an effort to write creatively using uncommon words... you will remember the words better than if you simply read

  To have a DIY personal phrase book you can refer back to is better than buying any phrase books that makes no sense and good use.

  Last time my method:
  
  1. Read more books / newspaper.
  2. Have a dictionary handy.
  3. Jot down new words in a vocab book.
  4. Try to apply new words in your next compo / essay, in the right context of course.
  5. DO NOT just blindly throw bombastic words.
