where did u hear all that info from?

yes. u can dye your hair. classes do start later. u can wear make up. u can have visible tattoos. u can have multiple piercings. u can wear heels to school. u have easy access to drugs. etc.
HOWEVER, people tend to think that all u need is $$$. and that people in there dont study and party all the time.
that's where it is so wrong!!!!

(im talking about international schools in singapore cos that's all i know about private school in singapore)
there are many reasons as to why the expats go to international schools and not local schools.
and NO it's not cos their parents have too much money to spend

do u know that it costs $20000+++ a year to attend one?? and most people have siblings. so there goes a whole lot of money. (plus u have to remember that singapore isnt their home, so they have to make trips back home and THAT costs A LOT of money too).
i know a lot of expats who started off at local schools. one MAIN reason why they leave is because the people in local schools treat them like strange animals in zoos. this sounds like it's not a big deal. but u guys really know how to make expats feel like sh|t.....
another reason is because the school syllabus is too different from what they are used to. (i.e. social studies!!!! and mother tongue.) or if they came over when they are 16 and everyone is doing O levels and they cant.
oh. and going to an international school also means u dont have to waste 9 months of your time waiting for your A level results.
and it's a lot more lax than local schools. BUT there STILL are school rules. and because they are not so unreasonable, people tend to follow them more. and you still have homework exams tests and assignments (like writing papers than are 20 pages long when it's worth only 20% or your grade

)
and my personal opinion, UWCSEA sucks!
