good looking and help with the housework.
"Oh, mercy me!"she exclaims, "I can hardly stand it!"
Still, she goes to the fifth floor and sign reads:
Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are drop- dead
gorgeous, help with the housework, and have a strong romantic streak.
She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor and the sign
reads:
Floor 6 - You are visitor 4,363,012 to this floor.
There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that
women are impossible to please.

Women tend to look for guys better than them. Thus, viet, china, thai women will find sg men better than their own local men (maybe in term of monies as our monies bigger than theirs). Do sg men thinks that they are really better than the thai, china, viet men as what these women have thought of? If sg women find foreigners to be better than sg men, well, the choice is theirs. What's there to find fault with or scrutinise too deeply into? We can't stop them, just as nobody tries to stop sg men from marrying overseas brides.
In fact, a portion of sg women may have such bad impression of sg men who they have met along the way, that they are actually quite comfortable with sg men looking for lifelong companionship with overseas women. Likewise, the same for sg men.
Personally, I don't think I can ever find a sg girl that's humble as suggested by TS's topic. This is from personal experiences and observations made from the real-life stories of my social circle.
I tell myself not to dream any more and to wake up from it. Dreams for romance, marriage, are best left as dreams. There are more meaningful dreams to have and to realise in real life than most of us would like to think. -

The problem here lies with the method of speed dating, itself and not with the guys or girls of Sg!
Speed-dating means there's only a brief encounter between guys and girls. It only enables very superficial contact and limited attraction......
Unless you are a Brad Pitt/Tony Leung, you are not going to be successful at all attracting any ladies to wanna be your potential life-long partner........
Sg guys are like art wich appreciation must be cultivated or an acquired taste and not just a commercial product that any Mary, Jane or Lucy will take to in an instant........
Likewise, Sg girls generally don't have the instant appeal compared with the ang moh cha bor.......

Everyone is entitled to have ambition and desire to better their lives .

humble enough to accept that it could possible be their inadequacy (god forbid) that is causing them problems and to improve themselves instead of blame slinging and finding easy solutions?
humble enough to understand that love is not a given thing. You've got to earn it from a woman and that different women have different priorities
humble enough to recognise that they have a problem with judgement if they keep meeting women that value money or status or wealth above EVERYTHING
humble enough to recognise that there are OTHER Sg men who have found great soulmates in SG and wonder what is it that made their relationships work? and learn from them.
humble enough to consider that life isn't always a breeze, and love doesn't necessarily come to all...
humble enough to realise that you got to make yourself DESERVE to be loved before you can be -
this is not going to end...
