Has any show in the past 5 years been better than metamorphosis?!? All of them are just filth. I subscribed to SCV this year, and one of the channel was VV Drama, the channel that shows TVB dramas.
Since then, from prime time 7 pm onwards, I only watch that channel.
Seriously, TVB always seemed to be able to produce better quality drama than Channel 8. While one of the reason is that they have more years of experience with dramas, the other is that they can rotate the main leads from time to time. I am sick and tired of Channel 8 showing the same few young nubile things paired with either young guys who can't act, or men who are old enough to be their father.
Another thing is, they can think up of many ideas for a drama serial, and not just confined/constrict themselves to a few genres. Take for instance the dramas they currently show now. They have war dramas like War and Passion(starring Myolie Wu, Leila Tong), period dramas such as "Bu Yi Shen Xiang" (starring Sunny Chan, Raymond Lam, Anne Heung). Mediacorp nowadays seemingly only do family dramas. Worst, they go on to cooperate with Malaysia, and co-produce a few dramas which have been flops. Remember the one starring Felicia Chin and Lin Yu Zhong? Remeber the drama serial that Zhang Yaodong and Jesseca Liu starred in? And what about the current one showing on Channel 8 starring Vincent Ng? Ratings speak for themselves.
Metamorphsis was probably one of the slightly better show Channel 8 showed this year. At least it is a break from the normal "Family show" they produce. As long as Channel 8 continues to produce shows that is not appealing, I have no qualms about continuing to subscribe to SCV even if they should increase price. -

The standard reli drop till terrible..I think even those B/ C listers in HK do better than many of those on Ch8 now.. -

i like the 2hr drama from 4:30 to 6:30pm every weekend, called Wok Of Life i think, that one super funny lah, but now is all shit...really

sbc or tcs dramas used to be classics. like my sister said while watching mystery 1, once the theme song come out, u know what is the show, and after 20 yrs, the song still make us rem what show it is. come on, the moment u hear the song, confirm can remember its "mi li ye", and st8 away can link to the butterfly story in that show. and those are the type of quality of tv dramas we should expect from.
and like i said earlier too, they have been repeating same old story line again and again. where is the gu zhuang show? where is those 50s, 60s show?? we paid money to mda to watch tv also. i believe we need better free to air tv quality too or at least more variety!!!!!!!!!! -

But the concept itself already sounds interesting. 4 women of different eras and the contrast in their views on marriage and their beliefs. Sure beats another family drama Channel 8 is airing now.
