Why open mouth so big when you eat?

Disgusting to see people open their mouth big when they eat and bite and chew. You got to see the food inside their mouth. Perhaps they should munch the food with their mouth shut once the food is inside the mouth. More gracious mah and more proper table manners. We cannot behave like those developing countries (the big one very North of us) and soon they will catch up with us. We should always be ahead not just in economy but in our graciousness.

but chewing with the mouth open is one thing i really dislike. if i know u well enough, i'll actually tell u to chew with your mouth closed -
Food very hot/spicy..so open the mouth to chew won't feel so hot/spicy..

i got foreign friends who say that we Singaporean have got no style in the way we appeal. Sometimes, I see around us and reflect, he is right. Other asian countries are catching up and besides economy, they also particular in the way they appeal to us; dress, posture, social habits and others. see japan, taiwan - flu, cough, they bother to cover with mask. korea - particular in dressing up. japan - manners. think MediaCorp should come up with more program about all these kind of stuff so that wider population can learn more about these sort of things.

Eating with mouth open is one thing. If can I turn away. But I cannot stand ppl munching loudly. Make me feel as though i eating beside a pig.
It's basic table manners that many lack. -
