i agree , i first few time take mrt to work i also like that , i let ppl out , but god damit the train wont wait for me , closed about 15 seconds , and i miss 2 train in a row , end up i kena late, some time i manage to get in the train but hand leg kena kiap by the train door , others also like that , me is leg kiap , hand kiap , bag kiap , others i seen so far is suitcase kiap , shoe kiap etcOriginally posted by FBI:same lo..

Unless the MRT can do something about the door timming or give a valid reason , dun expect me to be courtesy or give way.

I try my best to take bus when I can. Only bo bian then go take mrt. But just get used to it lah.
Now mrt wanna cut cost, each train packed to fullest and there are idiots who wont move in.

i sometime stand the side where nobody come in, see the view outside if can lor.
i tink dey block right infront so dat once e door open dey can zero in on e empty seats w/o delay.
haiz ... e issue and e inconsideration shown by Singaporeans has been a chronic problem ... i dun tink it can be solved in a few years time ... we juz haf to bear w it ....
aw, besides MRT blockers ... there r also a lot of inconsiderate actions that i've obeserved :
1. Peeps leaning on e poles ... den how is others gg to grab it?
2. Peeps refusing to go to the middle of e cabin. (ok maybe if ppl dun allow me to move in, i can move in)
3. Ppl eating or drinking on MRT/Buses ... (blantantly below the sign NO EATING)
4. On buses, ppl (especially women) tend to take e outer seat, e inner one remains empty ... (is very inconsiderate){DAMNIT if my ass accidentally rubs yr face den yew deserve it fer nt giv'in way!
5. Peeps turn'in on e loudspeaker when us'in e mobile fone to listen to music ... (got earpeice given right?)
[BUT! only when there isn't a crowd, n e space is nt needed @ dat pt of time of course.]

we can nvr evr change! coz we r liv'in in a place where evry man is fer himself. -
i think gahmen need more campaign about courtesy and graciousness again in 4 different languages; Chinese, Malay and Indian to educate those not so educated ones and English to educate especially the influx of so many foreigners (blue collar and whilte collar) that work and stay in Singapore nowadays. These foreigners come to Singapore and bring in their bad habits with them. Hopefully gahmen and us Singaporean can change them.

I aktually saw two middle-aged chinese guys 'competed' to be @ dat spot @ Woodlands MRT station. When e train came, both of them was try'in to nudge each other out by e shoulder. To fink that dey actwally competed to be e bigger jerk.

Where is e courtesy?
No matter how many campaigns Singapore organised, campign on be'in considerate fer others is surely a failure. Whenever u go to Outram Park MRT station, u will find many MRT blockers. -
i really wish that all of us can be responsible. If Japanese can be so disciplined and considerate, why not Singaporean. It has to start from everyone of us. Do you know that in Japan, passengers will lug their haversack in front instead of the back because they do not want their bags to shove others. pls hor, no durian and no food on the train. some times in the morning rush hour, working class pack their food with them and the train smells awful. if you really have to pack, please tie the carrier bag tightly so that the smell of the food wont drift. As always, these type of things reflect not education levels, or how educated 1 is, but how well they are brought-up. Campaigns are of no use if we ourselves think that these roguish behaviors are accpetable, or that if everyone else is doing it, we should be doing it too. -

I feel that our values and graciousness have eroded over time instead of getting better during these few years. Probably due to influx of many many foreigners either as new citizens, permanent residents or just on employment pass. Not really sure are they committed to be a part of us and live with our values or they simply bo chop and display irresponsible act. Countries with homogenous population with the likes of japan, korea and german etc etc can alway cultivate on their good discipline culture and improve on it. Our foreign workers are mostly from third world countries coming here for 2 years working permit, whatever campaigns our gahmen start will not be effective.
With the influx of third world populations into our society, on surface we are in the first world and striving foward, below lies the third world action that lack the discpline as the case of MRT blocker.
That is why for the koreans or germans, they have never like foreign workers entry, because it can erode they knew it not only destroy their employment but also the society as a whole, as for japan, they do have foreign workers, but they do the screening carefully so as to only allow certain countries the like of Vietnam to work in their shipyard, all priorty must be given to their own citizen first, if not, strike and topple of gahmen arises.
Strike and riot in these countries are not that they do not love their country, in fact they love their country more than anything else than to see it destroy both culturally and economically by some erratic or unethical gahmen decision. -

This one was taken about 2 weeks back. This guy, apparently sat from between tanah merah to simei. At simei, tampines, large numbers of people normally will leave the train, he just sat there never move, sad man, especially those of the younger generations of today...
