anyway, here's some slogans for future use:
1) Dragon-boating kills.
2) Dragon-boating: A free ticket to Hell
3) Dragon-boating is bad for your health
4) Dragon-boating : 23/11
5) Americans mourn 9/11. Singaporeans mourn 23/11.
6) Dragon-boating owns you
7) Look at what Dragon-boating did to the hunks]
Be humble. Never act tough.

10) Never do Dragon-boating
11) Row but don life jackets.
now, my rants....
#1: Where the **** are the life jackets? Safety more important or cool-factor more important? Safety more important or victory more important?!
By dying, these guys have totally wreck and saddended their families, which is totally uncalled for in the first place.
#2: After the dragon-boat race, the rowers are supposed to be super-tired, considering that dragon-boating is such an energy-draining strenuous sport.
Now these jesters want to row back, even when they are supposed to be driven back to shore by a ship?! Who suggested they rowed back?
Must be some alpha male in the group and all the other guys, wanting to appear masculine, agreed. In the end, Nature proved them wrong!
Not only have they caused so much sadness to their families and friends, but they've also wasted the precious resources of the Cambodians and SAF.

no one expect such a thing to happen since there r seldom case of dragonboater getting drown. this is just a tragic dat it happens all the sudden.
perhaps it is time for sport organiser to implement safty vest to be worn at all time.

Will remember him as a very hardworking and diligent person. A quiet guy but i recall meetinghim once during a weekend on the train and he smiled at me even though we didn't not speak to each other before. Heard that they were hit by a wave and their boat capsized as a result . They got sucked underneath too .
One point to take note of : If the water still suck them beneath the water for more than 20mins , even a life vest [b]WILL NOT save them . Thats how canoers die in waterfalls . Even with a proper life vest , they got sucked underneath the current .[/b]

One of the drowned boy grandma also asked the boy father whether her grandson had won the race or not, why haven't come back? How is the father going to answer the poor old woman who loved her grandson so much?? Oh God, on my knees, even 666 Angel prayed for your forgiveness, may they be in heaven in the arm of their god with a blessed soul. -
there's no point in pointing fingers and finding faults after a tragedy.
the focus now should be those who are living in pain because of their loss.
i hope they'll recover from this traumatic chapter of their lives..
