How do you find Cosplayers in S'pore and Japan?

anyway, japan's cosplayers...most of them buy the ready-made costumes there. so easy to find and affordable.
i think the photographers play a part in making the photos look good too.
generally, singapore's cosplayers have improved a lot, a lot...

What do they need to improve? Do they lack of anything.. ?
Suggest some tips, ideas if possible..
they copy with fancy costumes but their look and style and the costumes they wear still doesnt pull off. some is really nice. but MOST suck. a jrock fest about 3-4 months ago outside cine. i saw some fat girls wearing some goth costumes which really turns me off. i think they think that their ugly so they need to change their style to make themself attract more "attention".
btw you never twit and laugh at people too "poor" to buy goth/jrock stuff anymore?
