Expensive school prom night

It already your last day at school, your last time as a secondary school students. What is 100 buck compare to it.
My secondary school last time also have porm night after our O'LEVEL, is it less than 100 buck, but i did not turn up. If you ask me again, i would turn up for the prom night.
Life is also about creating nice memory.

Anyway, no matter what the occasion may be, no matter how old we are, we are still not earning our own money yet (omg, i'm begining to sound like my mom)...no point spending so much money to create 'nice memories' when a simple gathering will do -

never go even once in sec sch, poly or workplace

yeah true life is about creating nice memories..so try to make as much beautiful memories till we're old enough to look back at the past.
and its true that teens our age have yet to earn our own money.
and even if we do,i doubt we make at least 1.5k/month
if we look back to the past say in the 80s n 90s,prolly they had proms or just
simple gatherings which doesnt stress their pocket money cause naturally
ppl those days didnt earn much.
so we still could just make a simple gathering or just have something at the
school and itll still be as meaningful depending on how u look at it.
conclusion is,KIDS nowadays are just spoilt.
they think others have done it they also must follow.

lol my prom nite's food not very filling for the stomach.... pay $55 jus for some pastries....wtf...

People in the 80s and 90s didn't earn as much? I'm almost positive you just made that up, in fact people in the 80s and 90s were generally richer because back then you could buy more with the same amout of money ($1 back then was worth a lot more than $1 is now, and the amount people earn hasn't gone up enough to make up for it). My JC prom night was held at the Ritz Carlton hotel, and tickets were $80 each. I didn't go - but when I saw the photos I was glad with my decision. -
these sec sch prom is overated la... no need go one... last time where got these waste time stuff... no need dinner or prom...

Waste of expenses for such an expensive prom. I mean, why not have a disco prom at a school hall. MAybe, that would be more appealing and the costs will not be as much as a high class one.

Mine was in the school hall. I'd rather fork out cash to have real table served food than a buffet which was not enough to feed the people who attended the prom.
There was not enough drinks to go around too.
The live band, Ronin, was there for all the wrong reasons, its a prom not a black maria concert gig.
Oh yea, My School Hall Prom cost about $40 while an avg hotel one would cost $70 to $80 and would be definitely more worth it for an experience.
