ya...few days back..its like auto cough
this type is the worse... people around you think that you are going to die soon...
... good luck to you... some people get it and continue to cough for years...
... they go and see the doctor and once they stop taking the meds, the cough starts again...
The reality is that this type of cough is usually "nothing"...
... but .... this type can continue for years and don't stop.
There are a few theories why this happens...
1. mucus from the back of your nose flowing down your throat and tickling your throat...
2. the gastric juices coming back up from your stomach and irritating your throat...
3. throat infection (maybe mild fungal infection)
Some people reported the strange thing and that is, they can be coughing every five minutes but the minute they do something intense like play football, they can stop coughing for a couple of hours!
So there might be a psychological aspect to it.
If it is due to itchy throat, then you can almost be sure that the over-the-counter cough mixtures will not work.
Those are either suppressants or expectorants.
You are not coughing up anything so using expectorants is useless.
Suppressants do not work either because the itching is so intense, the suppressants medicine (liquid or tablets) are powerless against it.
What you should do is look for meds that take care of the itching throat.
The problem is that this itching throat cough is not serious at all but can make you a social disaster.
The only cough mixture that explicitly says... for "tickling throat" is the "African Sea Coconut" brand... I think you can get it at some 711
Use it for gargling your throat... before you swallow it... and avoid beverages with caffeine...
