the first time i experienced it, i thought i was hunted by some monster/ghost, like right out of a horror movieOriginally posted by JennTS:Hmm...was it a dream, or a hallucination from sleep paralysis?
Did this dream feel more 'real' than the usual dreams you have? Were you actually in your body, but you saw things happening around you with your eyes? Could you move your limbs when this was happening?
Sorry to bombard you with these questions, but from what you mentioned - "i tried to talk, but i cant talk loh", "close my eyes n open again" - it sounds more like sleep paralysis, as you had control over your actions, unlike in dreams which are more like movies in your head.
If you answered yes to at least 2 of the questions, well, tough luck.
Sleep paralysis is a condition whereby you wake up paralyzed, ranging from several seconds to minutes in severe cases. Yet your mind is fully active during this period. It's sometimes accompanied with hallucinations, and associated with lucid dreams, multiple awakenings (dream inside dream), and out-of-body experiences.
I've experienced it many times when I was aged 12 - 15, but thankfully not so much now. After going through it so many times you kinda get used to it. The bloody scary part though, comes in when you start hallucinating things.
Only thing that I can advice to you to avoid sleep paralysis is to regulate your sleep pattern. Try to sleep around the same time everyday.

Yea...Originally posted by Where Is God:Hallucination is almost always synonymous with sleep paralysis. But after a few times, you'll get used to it and you'll realise it's hallucination, or even wait in anticipation for the hallucination to kick in. Usually it's just weird, creepy sounds.
