How can I convince my parents for more pocket money?

I think now everything also price hike, pocket money not enough for spending leh, its like 80-90% of pocket money is spent on food alone!

everytime I want increase in pocket money, my dad expects me to write him a 'proposal' showing reasons of increase. THEN question me as to "is it necessary to eat at macs 3 times a week?"

even though now i dont need to ask anyone for pocket money, sure makes me think twice everytime i think i want to spend on something unnecessary. -

Frankly speaking, $140 for a month is too little already.
How much do your parents earn per month, this is one of the important factor in deciding your allowance.
I have about $300 per month. And I could barely make it. I always feel that I am more fortunate as compare to kids living in 3rd world counties. Most even don't have an allowance, and does not guarantee 3 meals a day to fill their stomach.
Really, we living in Singapore is really fortunate already. -

although i live in singapore , but most of the time , i don't really eat 3 meals a day , breakfast alone i sure didnt eat haha. Sometimes eat lunch at work then go home sleep until at night then wake up no food to eat then nv eat liao , so sometimes i eat 1 meal a day nia.

Ok, how to survive 5 bucks a day? I'm sure poly food not that ex right? In town food can find 3 bucks, so i'm sure poly can find 3 bucks or less. don't buy drinks, bring your own water bottle , trust me it's a good investment and plain water is better than coke, 7 up.
next, have one meal in school... forgrt about snacks and all, they're pretty ex and they don't fill you up.
eat breakfast at home, eat lunch in school, and maybe stay till near dinner time in school, but still go back home to eat dinner. that way your 5 bucks will suffice. -

Order 1 $2 machicken + 1 regular drink.
That should be less than $3.50. Who ask you every meal go eat EVM? -

Seriously, one meal per day in school inclusive of drinks should be able to survive with that.
I also receive $5 per day.
$2/$2.50 - noodles/rice
$0.80/$1.20 - Milo
Not too bad...
The savings can then be carry over to the next day if you don't have enough. It depends on how you spend... -
just tell your mum that u need to work part time..
u know how parents feel when their children working- they have not given them enough pocket money.. and they will feel the guilt. -
i also had 5 a day in poly last time..but then i made my own meals each day and ate at hawker centre most of the time...
