  dun think so. those birds my dad kept seem to be happy when being caught.
  
  bird may have freedom in the wild, it will have to fight for food n having fear of being eaten by eagle, crow n cat.
  
  the cage bird may have lost its freedom, but everyday have food to eat n bath n being taken care by owner.
