cheap food?Originally posted by sgbusiness:As above.
Where can I buy cheap cat food in Singapore?
1.) Wet meat food (Not dry biscuit food)
2.) Must be healthy and safe.
I like to feed cats but the cost of living in Singapore is going higher and higher.
Last time it used to be 40cents per pouch of cat food.
Now, it can go up to 80per pack.

Why?Originally posted by Fatum:please don't go around feeding strays ! ....
cos feeding strays not only dirties the common areas, it encourages flies and pest and the further breeding of yet more strays ! ....Originally posted by googoomuck:Why?
Why don't you feed them dry cat food? I say it is sufficent for strays, even though people may say brands like Friskies are not good for pets. Beats having to starve. Besides, dry cat food is easier to clean up and the remaining food does not decompose and stink up as quickly.Originally posted by sgbusiness:As above.

the cat merely wants a pat n some praises...Originally posted by gr2012:Haha, okay, you do have a valid point.
I guess I have had a bad experience with cat feeders in my area(AMK). The old folks who do so tend to leave scraps all over the place, not realising that the cats do not usually finish all the food, nor eat up the brown paper/plastic bag either.
The cats that venture into the upper levels of my HDB block tend to leave urine all over the place, and generally make a mess. It isn't their fault, but mainly the cat feeders who lure them up.
Ah well, I guess the TS is doing a good deed.
off topic: I was heading down the stairs this morning when I spotted a white cat. Upon seeing me it started to meow and walk up to me and rub itself on my trousers. It kept going round and round my legs until I decided to move, after which I followed me for a few metres. I wonder why it does that? Does it find me or my trousers appealing? haha.![]()

Cat lovers cannot possibly help by adopt every single community cat. Helping requires money and space and the support of those at home. It's not an easy task to raise even one cat. Cat lovers are helping out by feeding these cats responsibly and sterilizing them to ensure the cat population is under control.
If community cats are not being fed by these helpers, more cats will have to scavenge for food in coffeeshops and hawker centres, or even by stealing food from the backyards and kitchens of residential homes.
If these cats pose an annoyance, please do your bit by sending them for sterilization. Similarly, if an old man feeding the cats in your neighborhood is dirtying the place, please do tell him off sternly.
