  personally, i have never use that statement, a testament of my Bruneian upbringing.

  the discussion is about the hokkien language.

  when using other language/dialect, it is not easy to say it.

  but saying it in Hokkien almost have a sing-song quality to it

  nowadays kids are damn irritating when i heard them "say" hokk. vulg. they think they know alot or what. anyhow use... likedat make until the dialect hokkien until "a vulgar languge" not a normal dialect anymore loh.

  these kids mus be taught a lesson. and i dont understand why they mus include ur mother his mother inside. =.=

  ya i agree that hokkien now misused by teens

   

  now teens only know how to scold vulgars in different dialects, mostly hokkien vulgars

   

  ask them speak proper dialects they cant speak

   

  only pro in dialect vulgars

  I seriously think its a big matter of opinion :D

  i used them regulary example , going to market buy stuffs , it brings a sense of closeness and feel more relaxed , dun need "man qiang " those english uneducated speak english :D

  I got more rambutans for speaking dialect today :D

  i ever saw a kid, around 5 yrs old only.. the father swear vulgarity and he repeated.. then the father laughed and said good, like v proud of him lidat.. wrong upbringing lor..

  I know most of the hokkien vulgarities, but luckily I can converse in hokkien cleanly and properly too, albeit i'll mix some chinese words, because me hokkien is lousy.
