singlet, those business pants cut till short, and the white and blue flip flop
that isn't called rude, we dress the way we want to.
it depends lol honestly i dont think ppl will be like (on orchard) omg hes in flip flops and a tshirt and shorts hes disrespectful i mean seriously. like in france for ex. casual is a dress shirt and jeans and pumas lol very neat while in america casual is like...sport shorts, tshirt, flip flops. i think SG since its more hot casual = american casual
to each his own, i guess... i dun like wearing bermudas or shorts if going out with friends or any journey that's gonna last more than an hour..Lesser if im driving.. There's always a time where first impression lasts..like when i started going out with my fiancee, even though she just finished her work doing housecalls and such, she bothered to change into something much more presentable..Even she doesnt like to wear something not presentable ah...Sports or other activites are of course different ah..in other words, wear clothes depending on the situation because clothes maketh the man and rags maketh the mice.

don't tell me you attend wedding dinners with t-shirts, shorts & slippers..
go to beach in 3 piece suit. ![]()
it's about dressing for the right occasion. dressing in tee shorts flip flops is totally fine if you are going to the market or what. And wearing berms is also fine becoz of this weather. But not when attending a play or what lah.
I wanna have a Seditionaries collection to wear everywhere ![]()
Signs that S'poreans are going the right way in dressing: Wearing durian-shell "bra" while buying durians.

tak boleh tahan t-shirts?

A number of people who responded claimed that going places in tee-shirts, shorts and flip-flops means you aren't according people the proper respect.
Yet, I wonder.. how do these people define 'respect'?
Anyone care to share your view with me?
This is interesting.
I think in a tropical country like ours, wearing tee shirts, shorts and flip flops are fine. But of coz, not to weddings or events that require a dressing up. U see girls in denim shorts and small tees and flip flops all around town. Don't think the guys are complaining thou.
Respect the host if you are going to a party (unless it is themed to tat kind of wear), wedding or some event. Making a point to dress up or at least appropriately shows that you care about their feelings, and how you like to be look upon.

the collection do have t-shirts..
I doubt the credibility of the article when the spot checks were conducted at places like Vivocity. If expats and tourists think it's okay to dress down themselves, while put the spotlight on locals? Everyone finds it hot here.
Dress apporpriately for the event and the company you're with. Obviously, whoever raised the issue thinks that walking down the street is an occasion in itself, a fashion parade.
