  Don't even talk about world war II. I can give you a 1000 other reason which won the allies the war. I'm not denying women can contribute to society the way men can. What I am saying is that women already do a good job in their own gender specific roles, and men are not as genetically able to be good homemakers as women can.

  To quote hyperion, society stands to benefit it women stay at home.

While the men go out to work and bring the money back, the women should stay home and support the family.That is how things are supposed to happen.

  And what happens then ?

  No one is at home taking care of the factories (family) and we run out of ammo (babies). And we lose the war (cos we run out of people when the replacement rate in Singapore is bloody 1.2%)

  WRONG. Women became factories workers and built weapons, equipments for all the men fighting at the war.
