It wouldn't be so much of a problem if men shared the burden of taking care of the children and the home more equally (granted that they can't breastfeed, but they can do a million other things, and their presence at home is also very important), but the current provisions for that have not progressed much since the days when women were a rarity in the workforce.

That is why I feel that traditional gender roles should be adhered to. After all, thousands of years of tradition can't be all wrong can it ?

Only one partner will have to cope with more responsibilities. Otherwise, to paraphrase a fellow forumer, if you can't handle it, don't raise a family in the first place. It is not a duty to have a family anymore.
Societies have not always been patriarchal, and if you really reflect on it, the shift was actually set in motion when the workplace became increasingly separated from the home.

I'll have to agree with Hyperion. However I don't agree that i've insulted anyone, perhaps teased or jested their abilities to do certain tasks.
Also, I don't believe our arguments are weak, unless you can't argue at all because you have failed to expose a single hole in our cases. -
